We are pleased to announce the opening of our new Treetops branch in Milton Keynes. One of the largest towns in the Southeast of England, Milton Keynes is a great place to call home and a fantastic area to do business.

Horrendous experience. No process. No explanation. Accepted the work for my tax return and then almost doubled the bill with less than two weeks to deadline, when it was too late for me to switch. Despite the high fees, they basically collated receipts and completed the tax form. No guidance. No advice. Nothing. I ended up paying more tax in one submission than in the previous twelve years put together. Never again. Hopeless.

The team at Treetops have performed consistently well for me in managing my company and individual tax affairs over a number of years, and this week they have gone well ‘above and beyond’ expectations.I received a communications from HMRC on a specialist matter relating to EIS, where the HMRC calculations suggested a five figure tax bill was now due for immediate payment. I knew the basis of the taxman’s computations was flawed and contacted the Treetops office by email asking for help. The following morning I had a callback from one of the accountants, who recognising the urgency of the matter and the need for the correct figures to be used, recalculated the tax due and drafted an appeals response letter to HMRC.HMRC had taken three weeks just to send me their paperwork, and with the help of the team at Treetops inside a week we had the made the appropriate adjustments so that I could pay the right amount of tax in a compliant way, adhering to their 30 day payment period. And the amount was c. 80% less than HMRC had initially suggested.For sure the team at Treetops are busy, and quite rightly non time critical work is managed on a first in-first out basis. But when things are important and urgent, that’s when you know they ‘have your back’.Thank you.

Shocking service from the owner plus the two individuals that work within the firm that ruined our accounts to the point it has to be un-done & re-done with a new accountant due to the way the individuals have processed information. Although you will see lots of reviews with 5 star ratings you have to ask yourself are these genuine?We have had a bad experience at Treetops and would advise to find out who you are allocated to look after your accounts before signing up with Treetops.I thought we were having Tom the owner look after our accounts but apparently not we were given two people who lacked massively in savvy and suggestions to help us grow as a business moving forward.Not all have had our experience but unfortunately we had.Better off getting your own book keeper or becoming savvy yourself and brush up on taxation and the software you use it to it's full potential meaning you have control of the organisation your running or become a victim like we did of this firm.A cant be bothered attitude, laziness and un-educated in accounts leaving you with trainee's to try and sort accounts.A disgrace to the accountancy board.
