Full-time Accounts Assistant

An established presence in Farnborough for the past twenty years, Treetops has recently expanded and in the Autumn of 2021 opened a second branch in Milton Keynes.

This creates an exciting job opportunity with an immediate start, working alongside a small, experienced team of qualified accountants. We are looking to recruit a full-time Accounts Assistant to carry out a mix of bookkeeping, statutory accounts preparation and personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients.

The successful candidate must be hard working, have outstanding organisational, time management and communication skills. Experience in the accounting sector, with AAT or ACCA qualifications would be preferable, but not essential.

Horrendous experience. No process. No explanation. Accepted the work for my tax return and then almost doubled the bill with less than two weeks to deadline, when it was too late for me to switch. Despite the high fees, they basically collated receipts and completed the tax form. No guidance. No advice. Nothing. I ended up paying more tax in one submission than in the previous twelve years put together. Never again. Hopeless.
